The Nature Olympiad is a prestigious competition designed to educate students about local forests, national parks, and biodiversity. This initiative fosters a deeper understanding of nature, encourages scientific thinking, and inspires young minds to contribute to conservation efforts.

🎯 Objectives

✅ Enhance awareness of local forests, national parks, and biodiversity.
✅ Provide a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills in nature sciences.
✅ Instill a sense of responsibility towards conservation and sustainability.

👥 Who Can Participate?

The Olympiad is conducted in five categories:
📘 Category 1: Students of Class 6 & 7
📗 Category 2: High school students
📙 Category 3: PUC (Class 11 & 12) students
📕 Category 4: Undergraduate (UG) students
📔 Category 5: Postgraduate (PG) students

📜 Format & Rounds

The Nature Olympiad is conducted in two rounds:

📝 Preliminary Round: A written test covering key topics in biodiversity, local ecosystems, conservation strategies, and sustainability. 

🏆 Finals: An advanced assessment involving factual questions, case studies, and practical applications.

Both rounds are conducted at various centres across Karnataka to ensure accessibility and participation from students across the state.

📖 Study Material

All registered participants will receive study material based on the Olympiad syllabus to help them prepare effectively for the competition.

🎖️ Participants will receive certificates.
🥇 Top performers will be honored with medals and trophies.
🌱 Winners will also get opportunities to participate in conservation projects and mentorship programs led by experts.

📅 Registration Details

📌 Registration Opens: Closed.
📌 Last Date to Register: Closed on 31st August.
📌 Competition Dates: (ROUND TWO) 29th November 2025.

Mode of Examination: Offline (at designated centres across Karnataka) / Online (If No. of participants are less in a circle)
